Eligibility Requirements
Only applicants who hold a valid domicile of Himachal Pradesh can apply for this apprenticeship program. All required educational qualifications must be completed on or before 15 January 2026. Candidates who are still awaiting their final results, or who have already undergone apprenticeship training with SJVN in the past, will not be considered. Applicants having more than one year of work or training experience after completing their qualification, or those with a gap of over five years between the declaration of results and the start of apprenticeship training, are also not eligible.
- Graduate Apprentice: Candidates must have completed a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in the relevant discipline from an institute or university approved by AICTE.
- Diploma Apprentice: Applicants should possess a full-time Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering in the concerned trade, issued by an AICTE-approved institution or a recognized State Board.
- ITI Apprentice: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) along with a full-time ITI certificate in the applicable trade from NCVT or SCVT..
Age Limit
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 30 years (as on 15/01/2026).
- Age Relaxations:
- SC/ST:- +5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer):- +3 years
- For PwBD:
- (UR/EWS):- +10 years
- (SC/ST):- +15 years
- (OBC-NCL):- +13 years
Stipend Details
- For Graduate Apprentices: ₹15,000 per month
- For Diploma Apprentices: ₹13,500 per month
- For ITI Apprentices: ₹12,500 per month
No employment or extension after training; own stay arrangements required.
Selection Process
Merit-based shortlisting with no interviews.
Merit list formed on marks from qualifying exams:
- For Graduate: 20% (10th) + 20% (12th/Diploma, higher if both) + 60% (Engineering aggregate) = 100 marks
- For Diploma: 30% (10th) + 70% (Diploma) = 100 marks
- For ITI: 30% (10th) + 70% (ITI) = 100 marks.
Exam Process
Selection will be done purely on merit, based on academic marks.
No written test or interview will be conducted
