GSSSB Junior Pharmacist Recruitment – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements as on the cutoff date specified in the official notification:
Educational Qualification
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from a university recognized by the appropriate authority. OR
- A Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) along with at least 2 years of experience working as a Junior Pharmacist in a Government or Semi-Government organization, or in a registered pharmaceutical company.
Registration Requirement
- Valid registration with the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council is compulsory.
Language Proficiency
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi.
Computer Knowledge
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, such as a Certificate Course in Computer Concept (CCC) or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.

The question paper is divided into two main parts:
Part-A (60 Marks)
- Reasoning Ability & Data Interpretation: 30 Marks
- Quantitative Aptitude: 30 Marks
Part-B (150 Marks)
- Topics including Constitution of India, General Knowledge/Current Affairs, Gujarati Language & English Language Comprehension: 30 Marks
- Subject-specific questions related to Pharmacy (as per the required educational qualification level): 120 Marks

Salary & Pay Structure
- Initial Pay (First 5 Years): Fixed monthly remuneration of ₹ 40,800
- Regular Pay Scale (After Completion of 5 Years): Placement in Pay Matrix Level-5 with the scale of ₹ 29,200 – ₹ 92,300 (plus applicable allowances)
