Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a UGC-recognized university and AICTE-approved institution (regular mode only).
- Distance education degrees are not eligible.

Selection Process – HPSC Civil AE Bharti 2026
- Stage 1: Competitive Written Examination
- The exam syllabus is exactly the same as the UPSC Engineering Services Examination (ESE) – reference: UPSC Notice No. 01/2024 Engineering Services dated 06.09.2023.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- At least 40% marks in each individual subject/paper
- At least 50% marks in aggregate across all papers
- Only candidates who meet these qualifying criteria will move forward to the next stage.
- Stage 2: Interview / Personality Test
- Shortlisted candidates from the written exam will be called for a personal interview.
- The interview evaluates overall personality, communication skills, suitability for the role, and awareness of engineering responsibilities in public health infrastructure.
- Final selection ranks candidates based on combined marks from the written exam and interview (aggregate score).
- For reserved category vacancies, priority is given to the highest-scoring candidates within the same reserved group, regardless of overall rank.
