Eligibility Requirements
Educational Qualifications
Candidates should meet UGC norms:
- Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
- Qualification in NET/SLET/SET.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. awarded as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 are exempt from NET/SLET/SET.
- Relaxation of 5% marks (from 55% to 50%) for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwBD candidates and certain Ph.D. holders.
Language and Domicile
- Ability to speak Manipuri (Meetei/Meitei Lon) or a recognized tribal dialect of Manipur.
- Must be a permanent resident of Manipur (or have proof for parents/ancestors).

- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 38 years
- Relaxations: SC/ST – 5 years; OBC – 3 years; PwBD – 10 years (additional relaxations as per rules).
Salary Details
- Pay Scale: Pay Band 3 – ₹15,600 – ₹39,100
- Academic Grade Pay: ₹6,000 (pre-revised)
