Selection Process for PSSSB Stenoypist Recruitment
As per the latest corrigendum, here’s the updated selection procedure:
1. Written Examination (Qualifying in Nature):
- Subject: Punjabi Language Test (Matriculation Level)
- Format: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Qualifying Marks: Minimum 50% required to proceed
2. Punjabi Stenography Skill Test:
- Only for candidates who clear the written exam
- Dictation Speed: 80 words per minute
- Total Dictation: 400 words (2 paragraphs of 200 words each)
- Transcription Speed: 15 words per minute
- Allowed Mistakes: Maximum 8% errors permitted
- Final Merit: Prepared based on the number of mistakes (from 0 to 32) in ascending order (fewer mistakes = higher rank)
