Overview About PSSSB Group D Vacancies

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th class) from a recognized board or institution.
• Knowledge of Punjabi language up to Matric level (as a compulsory or elective subject) is mandatory, or candidates must possess any equivalent qualification as prescribed under the Punjab Civil Services .
• All required educational certificates must have been obtained on or before the closing date of the application (27 December 2025).
• Applicants must fulfil all conditions related to reservation, category, and Punjab domicile as claimed in the online application form.

• General Category- 37 years
• Scheduled Castes / Backward Classes – 42 years
• Ex-serviceman- General upper age limit + 3 years
• Persons with Disability (PwD) – 47 years (10 years relaxation)

Selection Process

• There will be only one Objective Type Written Test (Multiple Choice Questions – MCQ).
• Syllabus and Exam Pattern will be uploaded separately on the official PSSSB website.3Admit Card will be available only online on the PSSSB website.
• No admit card will be sent by post.
• Final Merit List will be prepared only on the basis of marks scored in the written exam. No interview.
• If two or more candidates get the same marks (tie), the candidate who is older in age (by date of birth) will rank higher.
• If age is also the same → candidate with higher percentage in essential qualification will rank higher.
• If still tied → candidate with higher marks in Matric (10th) will rank higher.
• Candidates will be shortlisted category-wise according to the merit list and called for Counselling & Document Verification.
• Only those candidates who are found 100% eligible after document verification will be recommended to the concerned department for appointment.
