Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy Agniveer (SSR) 2027

Educational Qualification


Candidates must meet one of the following requirements with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks:

  • Qualified 10+2 (Class 12) examination including Physics and Mathematics as subjects, from a board recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
  • Completed a 3-year Diploma in Engineering in fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Computer Science, Information Technology, Instrumentation Technology, or similar, from a polytechnic institute recognized by Central, State, or Union Territory authorities.
  • Passed a 2-year Vocational Course that includes non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics, from an education board recognized by Central, State, or Union Territory governments.

Note: Candidates appearing for their Class 12 board examinations and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, provided they meet all other criteria and can produce the original marksheet during later recruitment stages.

  • Nationality: Unmarried Indian citizens (male and female).
  • Marital Status: Must remain unmarried throughout the 4-year service period.

Selection Process for Indian Navy Agniveer (SSR) 2027

  • The process consists of two main stages:
    Stage I: INET 2026 (Indian Navy Entrance Test)
    • Computer-based online exam
      100 multiple-choice questions (10+2 level)
