This recruitment offers a great opportunity for candidates who have passed ITI in various technical trades and are looking for railway sector training without any written examination.Applications are open now. The last date to submit the online form is 11 April 2026. Eligible candidates with 10th pass (minimum 50% marks) and relevant ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) can apply for any of the 13 notified trades.

Eligibility Requirements of RRC SCR Apprenticeship 2026
Educational Qualification
- Passed 10th class / SSC with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised board.
- Must hold ITI certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT or SCVT.
- Note: Diploma holders and engineering graduates are not eligible for this apprenticeship scheme.
Age Limit (as on 11 April 2026)
- General / EWS: 15 to 24 years
- OBC (NCL): 15 to 27 years
- SC / ST: 15 to 29 years
- PwBD (UR): 15 to 34 years
Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules (3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, 10 years for PwBD).
Stipend and Training Period
- Selected apprentices will receive monthly stipend according to the latest Central Government guidelines (roughly ₹7,000 – ₹9,000 per month depending on the trade and year of training). Training will be imparted in SCR workshops and divisions. No travel allowance is provided for document verification.
Selection Process for RRC SCR Apprenticeship 2026
- 10th class examination
ITI examination in the relevant trade - In case of a tie, preference will be given to the older candidate. If date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed 10th earlier will be placed higher. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and medical fitness test as per railway standards.
